Chinet cup is cast in white earthenware ceramic and glazed in lead-free, matte transparent.
chinet cup
Chinet cup is created using decorative, single-use plastic cup. Originally plastic, the cup transformed in ceramic and should live out the rest of it's days serving coffee in the morning, or a gin soda after 5pm.
The base of chinet cup is left unglazed and instead, is treated with organic beeswax. This layer of wax seals off the raw ceramic and prevents absorption of any liquids that might stain the base. The beeswax gives the base a tan color and a sweet smell!
Heir Ceramics are made by hand. Even though these pieces are created in molds, each is trimmed, cleaned, and glazed uniquely. Some pieces have small imperfections that give quirky character.
